Energy Efficiency

Spray foam insulation offers exceptional energy efficiency by creating an airtight seal that dramatically reduces air leakage and heat transfer in buildings. Unlike traditional insulation materials, spray foam expands to fill even the smallest gaps and cracks, providing superior thermal resistance and preventing energy waste. Its remarkable ability to minimize air infiltration can help homeowners reduce heating and cooling costs by up to 40%, making it one of the most effective insulation solutions for improving a home's overall energy performance and sustainability. Additionally, spray foam's dense composition acts as an excellent sound barrier and moisture barrier, further enhancing its energy-efficient and protective properties.

Open Cell

Open cell insulation is a type of spray foam insulation characterized by its soft, sponge-like structure where the foam's tiny cells are deliberately left open, allowing air and moisture to pass through. Unlike closed cell insulation, open cell foam is less dense, typically weighing around 0.5 pounds per cubic foot, which makes it lighter and more flexible. This type of insulation is excellent for interior wall cavities, attics, and areas where soundproofing and air sealing are desired, as it expands to fill gaps and cracks more thoroughly than traditional fiberglass insulation. Expanding 125 times its liquid state open cell foam typically fills all cavities to be flush with the studs.

Closed Cell

Closed cell insulation is a high-performance type of foam insulation characterized by its dense, compact structure where individual foam cells are completely sealed and do not interconnect. This unique cellular structure makes closed cell insulation exceptionally effective at preventing air and moisture penetration, providing superior thermal resistance (R-value) compared to other insulation types. Typically made from materials like polyurethane or polyisocyanurate, closed cell insulation offers excellent structural reinforcement, moisture barrier properties, and can significantly improve a building's energy efficiency by creating a tight thermal barrier with remarkable insulating capabilities.
